Q1. What is LAN-slide?
We are an Australian not for profit organisation that runs LAN parties in south-east Melbourne. Our goal is to bring gamers
together from across Melbourne to socialise and of course play multiplayer games! Gamers vary in skill level from supreme
noob to hardcore gamer.
Whether you are seeking total domination in your preferred game, or just looking to connect with people with similar interests,
LAN-slide is for you. If you're new, why not post in our forums and say hi! Without the support of the community, we cannot
exist.
Q2. What is a LAN Party?
LAN stands for Local Area Network.
A LAN Party is a place where gamers bring their computers, connect them to a LAN and play video games.
LAN Parties vary in size from a house LAN (5 - 16 players) to large organised parties which can be in the 1000s sometimes with cash and prizes available.

Generally we will do a pizza run for dinner.
There are plenty of fast food restaurants in the local area including a Chinese restaurent, Hungry Jacks, Mc Donalds, Nandos, Red Rooster and Subway.
Q6. Is there an area for sleeping?
You're not meant to sleep at a LAN Party!
However there should be a few areas of floor space if you bring your own sleeping gear.
Under your desk is a good choice.
